This mural is based off of a portrait I took of a local man named Pedro who hangs outside my local Walmart. We developed a form of trust over the course of a few years and several encounters. I try to help him out with some money or a ride or some food whenever I see him. Struggling with mental illness, believing the CIA is after him, he protects himself with nunchucks and machetes sheathed onto his back.
